Greetings from Pascor Atlantic!

At Pascor Atlantic, our reputation means everything - based on a previous successful turnkey project, a Southeastern utility chose Pascor Atlantic to update a 60 year old station.  The station had been modified and repaired several times and there were no control or structure drawings available.  Ken Harless, Chief Engineer, visited the site to determine the scope of the project, define a bill-of-materials, and assess the customer’s needs and expectations.

Ken was faced with a dilemma; without drawings, there were no actual dimensions available until the outage began. The project ultimately entailed replacing two complete switches, replacing six sets of live parts and standardized ratings linkages and operators.  In addition, Ken was forced to field engineer the switch supports, operator linkage and mounting.  The client pitched in by providing a welder, grounding, and personnel to operate the bucket trucks.  The majority of the work was completed Pascor Atlantic service technicians. The project was completed in May of 2008 and the station was back on line according to schedule. The customer declared the project a “complete success” and Ken’s efforts served to build upon our reputation for delivering superior customer service.
